Live Studio Talkshow Host at World Water Week 2026

About World Water Week:
World Water Week is the leading conference on global water issues, held every year since 1991. A non-profit event, co-created with leading organizations, World Water Week attracts a diverse mix of participants from many professional backgrounds and every corner of the world.
Together we develop solutions to the world’s greatest water-related challenges, with topics ranging from food security and health to agriculture, technology, biodiversity, and the climate crisis.
Each year has its own theme which is explored from many different perspectives and next year's theme is Water for People and Progress.
About Live Studio Talkshows:
The Live Studio Talkshow format is a perfect way to have a lively conversation about complex issues. This type of session is for organizations who want to get their water message out in a fun and accessible way. Actors who host a Talkshow session range from NGOs to authorities and private sector. The audience consists of people from different cultures, ages, skill levels and various industries, but the common factor is that they all have an interest in water-related issues around the world. Talkshows are live streamed on the World Water Week digital platform (online) and have a live audience on-site in Stockholm.
Role and Responsibilities:
We are now looking for two moderators for the Live Studio Talkshow in Stockholm. Journalists should have a demonstrated background in sustainability and/or environmental issues related to water. The duties of the Talkshow Host include:
- Reading the session proposals provided by the World Water Week team (Remote work).
- Exchanging emails and calls with the sessions convening organization to create the interview script (Remote work).
- Preparing questions and talking points before the interview (Remote work).
- Hosting the interview during the World Water Week which will take place August 2026 (venue in Stockholm).

Application Requirements:
This role is a project-based position. You should have experience:
- conducting live recorded interviews in English and,
- reading research papers and summarizing complex topics related to water, sustainability, WASH, gender equality, indigenous perspectives, SDGs, global health, transboundary waters or similar.
The preparation period will start in May and continue until World Water Week in August 2026. During this time, you should plan to attend 2 to 4 preparation meetings with both the World Water Week team and our external technical team.
Following the initial meeting with the World Water Week team, you will be introduced to 10-18 convenors (session organizers) and begin planning the interview content. Before the live interview in Stockholm, you should schedule two preparatory meetings with each convenor: the first to provide an introduction and initial discussion, and the second to refine and practice the interview questions.
The payment does not cover travel or accommodation expenses to or from Stockholm. You will, however, receive a Full Access Pass (valued at 12,000 SEK in 2025) to the event, granting participation in all sessions and networking opportunities, as well as access to recorded content from sessions you cannot attend.
